Join us for an 8-week, all-online conservation leadership program offered
this summer to Wyomingites from around the state!
What is FIELD Training?
FIELD Training is an eight-week course designed to help Wyomingites become more effective as citizen conservation leaders. Over eight weeks, guest speakers and Wyoming Outdoor Council staff will help demystify advocacy and government in Wyoming for participants by giving them tools, insight, and access they need to grow as grassroots leaders. Formerly known as CLI, this course will cover a range of topics and incorporate guest speakers, case studies, group discussions, hands-on applications and projects, panel presentations, and more. Course participants will leave not only with a diverse set of skills and experiences, but with deeper connections to their statewide community.
This year’s FIELD Training will include a focus on public access to public lands! Group project work, guest speaker insight, and policy-focused discussions will dig into this important theme for Wyoming, and help you build a skill set to advocate for “keeping it public.”
